I use QuickTime video (.mov), Windows Media Video (.wmv), streaming RealAudio (.ra, .ram), and MIDI (.mid) sound files in this hour's sample pages. I've done this primarily for better compatibility with non-Windows computers. However, you could just as easily use Windows AVI or MPEG video files, as well as MP3, Windows Media Audio, or even AAC (iTunes) audio files. The good news is that the procedures shown in this hour for incorporating multimedia into your web pages are the same, no matter which media format you choose. |
