Hour 21. Create Your Own Blog
If you recall any of the hoopla from the U.S. Presidential Election of 2004, for the first time in history, the Internet played a vital role in fleshing out the political debate of who should be President. Much of this debate was carried out through blogs, which are themed online publications whose content changes regularly. By themed, I mean that a blog typically focuses on the opinion of a single group or person, or on a narrowly focused topic.
This lesson explores hosted blogs, which are blogs stored on someone else's web server. Hosted blogs have some advantages over "homemade" blogs in that they typically rely on powerful blog software that automates the updating and publishing process. Don't worry, you'll still get to tinker with some code in this lesson as you find out how to customize the appearance of a hosted blog using CSS.
