Chapter 2. How CSS Works
In the previous chapter, I showed you how XHTML markup creates a structural hierarchy of tags. Along the way, I dropped some hints about how you can use CSS to style those tags so that you can precisely control the layout and appearance of the onscreen elements, such as text and graphics. Now it's time to learn about the mechanics of CSS. By the end of this chapter, you'll be ready to create your own styles for the piece of sample XHTML markup we studied in Chapter 1. |
